Orston and Thoroton Women’s Institute

See the new 2019 diary below

We are a friendly group, currently 25 strong, which meets the second Wednesday of each month in The Village Hall, Orston at 7.30pm. Members live in Orston and Thoroton plus neighbouring villages. We combine a programme of speakers with outings to the theatre, a summer garden visit and meals out. This year we will be celebrating our 90th birthday!

At our meeting on Wednesday 13 June we will be having an open meeting to which all are welcome. The speaker will be Chris Weir talking about ‘The history of Boots’. We would be delighted to welcome any visitor – a donation would be appreciated.

In addition to our monthly meetings (see programme below) we have trips planned to go gliding, a visit to a Magistrates’ court and much, much more!
