On Sunday 23 June from 2pm to 6 pm Orston will be staging their first Open Gardens event in 4 years.
Orston has a proud reputation as one of the prettiest villages in Nottinghamshire. It has won the CPRE Best Kept Village competition 3 of the last 4 years within its population category. This has not happened by chance.
Orston Garden Club is extremely active within the village maintaining borders and pots in public places. In total there will be 10 gardens open and these will range from large gardens based around established Victorian or earlier houses through to tiny gardens packed with imaginative and creative displays.
We have some gardens opening for the first time. In the past this has been a very popular event and we will be providing refreshments, as well as a stall selling plants.
The proceeds of the event are going to support the maintenance of St Mary’s Church.
