affect your lungs and airways. Let’s work to prevent the spread. Please accept any offers of help from the Parish Council volunteer list if you are having to self isolate.

Durham Ox is offering a take away service on all its menus and take away drinks. Bring your own container for take away cask ales. – 01949 850059

The Thatch has their Tapas menu available for take aways by collection or delivery (delivery charge may apply) – 01949 842330


Sainsburys – from Monday 23rd March they are operating an expanded ‘click and collect’ service. Customers can place their order online as usual and pick it up from a collection point

Vectare/Notts Bus

Service 833 will continue to run normally, with no changes to the timetable, until further notice. The office can be reached on 0115 777 3187 for further updates. Passengers with free bus passes can travel at any time (i.e. prior to 09.30) until further notice. For anyone self isolating in Orston area, give them a call and they will get a bus to drop stuff off for you if required at the start/end of day (no charge for this).

NHS Direct is changing

The way you access health care information, advice and services on the telephone is changing. Over the next few months the 0845 4647 service is being replaced by NHS 111 in England.

You should call the NHS 111 service if you need medical help fast, but it’s not a 999 emergency.

You will be assessed, given advice and directed straightaway to the local service that can help you best. Calls to NHS 111 are free from landlines and mobile phones.
