A circular walk from Cropwell Bishop  going through Colston Bassett and by the ruined church - approx. 5.5 miles The walk starts from Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop, by St Giles Church, NG12 3BU. Blidworth Wood & Sansom Wood - 5.2  mile circular walk  The walk starts at Blidworth Wood car park (North), Blidworth Lane, NG21 0NZ. An undulating but easy circular walk of approx. 5.2 miles. Good conditions underfoot even in wet weather. Mainly pine trees in Blidworth Wood but Sansom Wood is quite different with a good mixture of pine and deciduous trees and we skirt a lake adjacent to Papplewick Pumping Station. The walk next Tuesday will be from Farnsfield, taking a southern circular track to Edingley church, and then tracking along Edingley Beck towards the site of Kirklington station on the old railway line now called the Southwell Trail.
